AFTERCARE

Aftercare appointments are usually recommended every 6 months by us or can be done annually if you prefer. This is the best way of checking the health of your eyes as sometimes changes can happen without you realising.

We ask you to arrive wearing the lenses, ideally 1 to 2 hours beforehand. The optometrist will be interested to learn how comfortable you’re finding the lenses, how long you wear them for and how the vision with them compares to when you wear your glasses. You should always bring your glasses to this appointment as well as when you take your contacts out you can’t re-insert them for an hour after the tests.

Your vision wearing the lenses will be assessed and any additional prescription that may improve the vision is measured. The fit of the lenses will be assessed and then the health of the eyes checked. We will then advise you on how best to tailor your wear to give you optimum comfort and vision in the future.
